Three 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea Spring Split matches were held on the 1st of April (KST). It was the first day on the 10.6 patch with Wukong and Vi disabled. The first match was DragonX vs. SANDBOX Gaming. In Game 1, DragonX picked two marksmen: Lucian and Varus. Through the initiative they earned in bot lane, DragonX snowballed the lead. Around the 30-minute mark, Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon’s Sett initiated a teamfight perfectly and DragonX was able to score an Ace. With the Ace, they went straight to destroy SANDBOX's Nexus.

SANDBOX substituted in Son "Punch" Min-hyuk in place of Kim "OnFleek" Jang-gyeom in Game 2. Punch played Gragas and helped his team with timely ganks and engages to push ahead. DragonX managed to pull close by taking three Infernal dragons to keep their hopes up. However, in the following teamfight, Moon "Route" Geom-su's Aphelios dealt massive damage and SANDBOX slew Baron as a reward. Taking advantage of the power play, SANDBOX continued the siege and finally advanced through DragonX's defense to take Game 2.

In Game 3, DragonX picked Karma in their top lane. Before the turret plates were deactivated, they had a 5-man dive in top lane to make a 4K global gold difference lead. DragonX took all the objectives after that and snowballed their lead. In another skirmish, DragonX turned a 4v5 teamfight recorded an Ace. Deft's Senna picked up a quadra kill in the process. After that, there was no way SANDBOX could stop DragonX rushing in with the Baron buff. DragonX took the 2-1 victory and maintained 3rd place.

Park "Untara" Ui-jin started for Griffin in Game 1 against kt Rolster. KT snowballed an early lead very quickly by controlling objectives efficiently. They collected both Rift Heralds and pushed through the lanes, benefitting without having many kills involved. Although there weren't many fights, KT already had a big lead. After KT secured the Ocean Dragon soul and the Elder buff, they raided Griffin's base and left nothing standing.

Griffin struck back with a teamfight comp with Lee "Tarzan" Seung-yong playing Nocturne. They took the lead by killing all five opponents at a dragon fight while losing only two. Although KT fell behind, they started to stall the game. The game went longer but as Griffin drew an Ace at a Baron fight, they weren’t able to lose this game anymore.

Game 3 was completely under KT’s control. KT’s objective control was clearly ahead of Griffin and Kim “Aiming” Ha-ram’s Kalista was protected well by Taric and Galio. Aiming managed to survive with minimum HP multiple times. After securing the Ocean dragon’s soul and Baron, KT was unstoppable. They cleared Griffin’s Nexus within 28 minutes into the game.  With this win, KT extended their winning streak to eight while Griffin fell to a 9-game losing streak.

The hottest match of the season happened today. The top two teams of the LCK, Gen.G Esports and T1 faced each other. As both teams knew each other very well, both teams were extremely careful. Until the 24-minute mark, the kill score was 1-1 and the two teams took two dragons each. Although Gen.G was ahead three turrets, the global gold difference wasn't that big. The later the game went, both teams knew well that one teamfight could end the game. That teamfight came as Kim "Clid" Tae-min's Rek'Sai was cut off. T1 won the teamfight and rushed in an attempt to destroy the Nexus. However, Gwak "Bdd" Bo-seong's Zilean and Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk's Aphelios resisted the siege and even turned the game around. Ruler picked up a quadra kill and succeeded to destroy the Nexus on the other end. Ruler collected his 1,000th LCK kill in this game.

Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok picked Tristana in Game 2. From the moment T1 secured the Rift Herald and unleashed it in top lane, T1 started to snowball. They took the first turret and never stepped on the brakes. With a large global gold lead, T1's snowball turned into an avalanche. In 27 minutes, T1 succeeded to destroy Gen.G's Nexus to tie the game.

T1 top laner Kim "Canna" Chang-dong gained first blood as Moon "Cuzz" Woo-chan ganked top lane. On the other half, Clid's gank was parried naturally by T1's bot duo. The game split open in a top dive. T1 dove into Gen.G's top where they picked up four kills and gave up none. From that point, everything went as T1 wanted. After T1 secured the Infernal Dragon soul, T1 pushed Gen.G into a corner and started the last teamfight. Clid's Lee Sin survived, but there was nothing he could do. T1 destroyed Gen.G's final Nexus and tied themselves with Gen.G in wins.
