Inven Global spoke with Grubby to hear his thoughts on Reforged, AOE4, and the WarCraft scene.
Between 2005 and 2008, Jang “Moon” Jae-ho was the best Warcraft 3 player on the planet. Despite fierce competition — more global than any other esport of that era — Moon stood out as a player who had “cracked” the most popular RTS title in the world.

Humans and Orcs will once again return to the battlefield against one another as Warcraft III: Reforged's multiplayer beta is set to begin this week. According to a press release sent from Activision Blizzard, players will be able to play as either Humans or Orcs in 1v1 or 2v2 matchmaking games. Fear not lovers of the Undead and Night Elf races, both classes will be coming in the upcoming weeks alongside new game modes.
World Cyber Games (WCG) has come back in 6 years in Xi'an, China. The games being played in this WCG are Arena of Valor (Wangzhe Rongyao), Dota 2, Crossfire, Warcraft 3, Clash Royale, and Hearthstone.
And this week, Blizzard released the first look at the Reforged's handling of the mysterious Night Elves. At BlizzCon 2018, we had already seen how the Humans, Orcs, and Undead races look but the new image uploaded to Playwarcraft3.com shows the most refined (debatable) race in Azeroth in full HD glory.
The ambitious Reforged project will launch Warcraft 3 and it's staunch esports community into the limelight. A seasoned group of competitors, broadcasters and viewers will have to contend with modern indicators of "a successful esport".

Warcraft 3 has effectively risen from the dead, once more emerging as supported RTS for the now niche, but growing player base.
In the flurry of new patch Information, the following Reddit thread was posted and very quickly deleted.
Patch notes are still unknown and this story will be updated as more information reveals itself. As of now, this to some extent confirms the persistence rumors of some sort of secret Warcraft 3 event that was taking place. It is safe to say the release of this patch and the rumors are no coincidence.
