Popular Korean streamer Lee Sang-ho has founded a new League of Legends team in South Korea. Seorabeol Gaming was co-founded by Park "Thal" Kwon-hyuk, Nam "Lira" Tae-yoo, and Gwon "Sangyoon" Sang-yun. The co-founding players will serve as the starters in their respective positions of Top, Jungle, and Bot.
As originally reported by Korizon's Ashley Kang, the team is currently looking for a Mid Laner and a Support out of Korean Solo Queue, as long as the player is at least Grandmaster. Lee Sang-ho is also holding the position of the team's Substitute Support. The team's intentions are to first qualify for Challengers Korea, and through this, qualify for the LCK.
Thal, who started his career abroad in Europe, was hit with the spotlight for the first time with 2018 as one of the players in SK Telecom T1's revolving door of Top Laners. Most recently, Thal started in the Top Lane for Hanwha Life Esports in the 2019 LCK season along with Sangyoon, who remained with the team through its rebrand from ROX Tigers after the 2018 season.
Lira originally came to North America before the start of the 2017 season, and with Clutch Gaming, qualified for his first League of Legends World Championship in 2019. Dignitas did not re-sign Lira for 2020, and without an organization like many other LCS veterans, the Jungler returned home before re-uniting Afreeca Freecs teammate Sangyoon under Seorabeol Gaming's sparkling new banner.
If Seroabeol is able to find a competent Mid and Support to round out its starting five, LCK qualification should not be looked at as a possibility, but an inevitability for the veteran trio and their illustrious streaming co-founder.
