On Friday afternoon, Twitch, one of the largest live streaming platforms in the world, announced that they will be hosting a $1 million Twitch Rivals tournament at their annual TwitchCon event starting on September 27 in San Diego.
According to the company's press release, the three-day event will pit streamers against one another in Fortnite, League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics and Apex Legends. Previously reserved for the most popular streamers on the platforms, this Twitch Rivals event will allow any Twitch Partner or Affiliate to compete in the action.
The Apex Legends tournament itself will allow numerous Partners to challenge teams of popular streamers for glory and a $500,000 prize pool.
The event will be streamed on Twitch Rival's official channel (https://www.twitch.tv/twitchrivals) and on the competing streamer's channels.
