The world of First Summoner PvP challenges players to devise unique strategies and test them against other players. Like First Summoners core gameplay, victory or defeat is defined by building synergistic decks and understanding the strategy behind piloting them.
And it all takes place in Snake’s Battlefield. This is a ranked mode where players will bolster both defensive and offensive options to defeat enemy summons and climb the ladder in competitive play.

- Through defeating other players, you’ll be promoted to Bronze II, Bronze III, and then Silver I
- Order of Rankings: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Legend, Master
- Attacking in Snake’s Battlefield
- Attacking is pretty straightforward in this mode. Players craft a deck of 6 cards like they would for the campaign and are pitted against other players who have crafted their defensive deck
- The goal is to fight through a single lane towards the enemy player’s pedestal and get their HP to zero. Their summons will try to stop you as they spawn in depending on the specific cooldown of the units they’re using.
- Defending in Snake’s Battlefield
- Wave 1 summons will spawn as soon as the match begins. New units of those types will automatically respawn once their cooldown reaches zero.
- The Wave 2 summons will enter the fight 50 seconds into the battle
- The Wave 3 summon will enter the fight 120 seconds into the battle
- Building a defensive deck is a bit different. Players have a set amount of mana they can spend towards adding summons
- There are three open slots for Wave 1, two open slots for Wave 2, and one open slot for Wave 3
- Players can have as little as one summon in the deck and have up to six depending on how much mana each card allows
So, when entering Snake's Battlefield and facing human-made strategies, there are a couple of things to keep in mind:
For starters, the hordes of enemies you will face when attacking will come in three waves -- the first wave is almost always designed to stall and survive as long as possible in order to make time for the last two waves. Defending players want to make it impossible for the attacking player to push their single lane and ultimately defeat their primary character. So naturally, the attacking player should keep this in mind and frontload damage against the first wave as soon as possible.
Once the first wave is defeated (or being distracted by a tanky summon that draws their fire) it is generally a good idea to try and destroy the blue gem in the center of the map, as doing so nets 20 additional mana to summon reinforcements and bolster the attack against the primary objective.
Strategies for Attacking
You’ll want a strong team of summons straight out of the gate, so make sure to build your deck around this idea. For example, Skeleton Archer, Mana Ghost, Frozen Viking, and Slingshot Orc can be summoned all at once since their cost adds up to exactly the amount of mana a player starts the battle with. This creates a strong offensive push to gain momentum.
The idea is to inflict a ton of damage to the first objective before the first wave of enemy units deals significant damage. This is a big plus because destroying the first objective drops about 20 mana to build up your summons and puts you in a good place before the second wave of enemy minions has time to spawn.
Note: mobility is important when attacking. The defending player's summons is controlled by AI so a mechanically skilled player can gain extra value through smart movement that avoids attacks and keeps defending summons chasing rather than attacking.
Strategies for Defending
The main objective of your first wave of units should be to stall your opponent as long as possible. The longer you stall, the more time you’ll have to unlock your second and third waves of summons. Make sure to throw out an agile tank such as Demon Rabbit to distract enemy summons and inflict stuns as well. Ranged summons and healers are great at supporting whoever you decide to tank as.
When building a defense strategy, keep in mind the popular strategies for attacking and try to be prepared for them. For example, area of effect damage combined with tanky front line units is a good defense against attacking players who try to frontload all of their summons immediately. In addition, building a defensive strategy is all about synergy, so try to predict what effect your first wave of summons will have on the enemy and choose your second wave of summons to best take advantage of it.
