On the 15th, at the LoL Park, the 18th day of the 2019 LCK Spring Split took place. On the second series of the day, Hanwha Life Esports played against Kingzone, in which HLE came out on top with a score of 2-0. This victory is HLE's 5th this split. HLE seems to be getting stronger with each passing game.

The following is an interview with HLE's bot laner, Sangyoon.

Your team is now 4th on the LCK leaderboard. How do you feel?

I knew that winning today's series will place us 4th. Our head coach warned us that losing today's match would've been detrimental, so I'm happy that we won 2-0.


HLE looks to be a very competitive team that can aim to place even higher.

To tell you the truth, our team was 6-3 during Round 1 of the last split, too; so I'm not entirely satisfied with how we've been doing this split. The only thing on my mind is that we need to continue to do our best. 


Your victory in game 2 was rather hard fought.

Our bot lane struggled, and I believe that was the biggest factor in that. Not giving up our outer mid lane tower was our stepping stone for victory. Our plan was to team fight well.


Our next opponent is DAMWON Gaming.

They're not as scary as the other top-tier teams in the LCK. As long as we don't make mistakes, and we secure leads through the laning phase, we'll win. 


The 'Frostmancy' meta is over. Although it was only for a short while, it did make the games quite interesting. What's your opinion?

Our team didn't practice the 'Frostmancy strategy' at all. We didn't mind it and just played like how we used to. It worked.


I heard you received nearly $10,000 in allowance from your father.

My teammates were going crazy over it. (Laughs) I bought them food.
