On the 1st of July (KST), in the second match of the 2018 LCK Summer Split Day 18, kt Rolster defeated MVP 2-0. KT was able to take the victory after winning a 57 game in Game 2. Song “Smeb” Kyung-ho played Ornn in Game 1, and Vladimir in Game 2 to contribute to the team victory.

The following is the interview with Smeb.

Q. How do you feel on today’s win?

It was our last match before the Rift Rivals, and I’m happy that we won.

Q. Game 2 was a 57-minute game. When were you sure that you’ll win?

We weren’t sure until the last moment. I could have finished the game a lot earlier. I’m sorry to my teammates because I was greedy in teamfights. Although there were some frustrating moments, we were able to take care of those situations by talking to each other.

Q. (Forum fan question from kylekim0121) Some fans point out that KT has inconsistent performance. If KT is consistent with their play throughout the game, where do you think you’d rank yourselves among the teams in LCK?

We also thought the same thing. Recently, we concentrated our practice on being consistent. We’ll also try hard to do that at the Rift Rivals. We’re trying to reduce making dangerous plays. If we think more before we make plays, we'll become more consistent. We should be at 1st if we’re consistent.

Q. In today’s first match, Spirit won and it was his birthday. Did you ever have a game on your birthday before?

I was always busy with exams or practice on my birthdays, so I don’t think it will be much different if there’s a game on my birthday.

Q. Does Score’s leg injury affect his performance?

There’s not much difference, but Score does seem more tired than before.

Q. Aatrox was reworked. What do you think of the new Aatrox?

Aatrox became more fun. I think there’s a good chance of him becoming a good champion. I expect to see him appear in competitions.

Q. You’ll be going to Rift Rivals again. What do you want to show there?

I wish all the Korean teams win, so that Korea can become champions.

Q. Do you have any last comments?

It was my birthday yesterday. Many people wished me a happy birthday and sent me presents. I want to say thank you to all those who did. I’ll do my best to have interesting games at the Rift Rivals.
