Indie developer Parry Frames Studio has officially announced its new Soulslike action-adventure title, 'Stray Dog: nobody cares'.

The protagonist of this game is a dog, not a human. The stray dog controlled by the player was taken in and raised by a disgraced, retired knight, treated as useless by people without a name or origin. Though raised learning only how to hide and survive rather than receiving combat training, when its master is captured, the dog sets out to rescue him with the broken sword he left behind held in its mouth.
The sight of a large white-furred dog holding a sword in its mouth is a familiar image to Soulslike fans, drawing immediate attention from fans of the genre right after its reveal.
Combat follows the signature conventions of the Soulslike genre. Key elements highlighted include backstabbing (commonly known as 'backstabs'), precise parrying, and high-difficulty boss fights, with various combat skills allowing players to adapt their fighting style to different situations. During exploration, players roam Soulslike-style stages to discover treasures, featuring a progression structure where skills are unlocked using experience points and gold obtained by defeating enemies.
Developer Parry Frames Studio previously showcased a Sekiro-style Soulslike with its prior game, 'Crimson Oath,' released on April 30, which earned positive reviews on Steam.
Meanwhile, the Steam store page for Stray Dog: nobody cares has been opened, and wishlisting has begun. An official release date has yet to be determined.
