On Nov. 17th, Gen.G announced via Twitter that they’ve re-signed their contract with Ju “oDin” Yeong-dal.
Shedding the title “interim”, Gen.G announced that he has become a head coach for the LoL roster of Gen.G. He stood alongside the former head coach for Gen.G, Choi “Edgar” Woo-beom, when he was on the team. After Edgar’s departure from the team after the 2020 LCK Spring split had ended, he was named the interim head coach for the team.
Via Twitter, Gen.G stated, “Head Coach oDin showcased strong leadership during a tumultuous 2020 season, and he brings with him a unique history of experience, including four Worlds advancements and a championship title. Both oDin and Gen.G share a vision to modernize our coaching system and bring long-term success back to the team.”
Alongside oDin, Kim “Lyn” Da-bin will be joining Gen.G’s coaching staff as a coach. Previously a coach for Gen.G’s academy team, he looks to fill the shoes of Gen.G's former coaches, Yeo “TrAce” Chang-dong and Im “Tom” Jae-hyun.
