TSM has had a number of roster shifts throughout the off-season, culminating in the team signing Winston "Winston" Herold as their new Academy Jungler. TSM released Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett late May, promoting their former Academy Jungler, Mingyi "Spica" Lu to their starting roster, leaving the Academy position open.
Winston was part of Team Infernal in the 2019 NA Scouting Grounds, and though they came in third place, he performed well and improved throughout the week. Since then, he has consistently been at the top of the solo queue ladder. Prior to his trip to NASG, he played for Western University for the Collegiate League of Legends scene, winning both the 2018 and 2019 East Conference Championships. He also made it to the East Conference Quarterfinals this year, but the rest of Playoffs was then canceled due to COVID-19.
TSM Academy had a solid Spring Split, but lost in the Semifinals to Cloud9 Academy, who then went on to win the 2020 Spring Split Academy Playoffs. Winston joins the team as a strong, experienced Jungler, and will hope to mesh with the team to improve on their standings this Summer Split, which starts in just one week.
