On the 4th (KST), DragonX announced through their official Youtube that Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon will be their newest starting mid laner for their League of Legends team. With this addition to their roster, two former Griffin players have now reunited with their former Head Coach, Kim "cvMax" Dae-ho.
Chovy first debuted in the LCK with Griffin in 2018. Since then, he has become the first professional player to achieve a 100 overall K/DA in a professional league, led Griffin into three LCK finals, and recently, the 2019 LoL World Championship. However, with the recent controversy surrounding Griffin's unfair contracts, three of the players have left the team.
With Son "Lehends" Si-woo joining Hanhwa Life Esports as their newest support player, Chovy have officially reunited with their former Head Coach, cvMax, alongside Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon. With certain sources claiming that Evil Geniuses offered Chovy the biggest contract in Western League history, many eyes are on this young player to see if he will live up to the hype in 2020.
