Maurice "Amazing" Stückenschneider played for FC Schalke 04 in the 2018 EU LCS Summer Split, and it looks like there is a chance of the two parties re-uniting. The German Jungler was seen in a photo with fellow countryman Finn-Lukas "Don Arts" Salomon, who currently is the Jungler for German esports organization Berlin International Gaming; also known as BIGCLAN.gg.
Since his tenure as a starter on FC Schalke 04, Amazing served as the Strategic Manager of the organization's academy team, FC Schalke 04 Evolution, in the Premier Tour for the spring of 2019. In summer, Amazing returned to the rift as a player, starting in the Jungle for North American organization 100 Thieves in the 2019 LCS Summer Split.
Amazing announced his free agency in a now-pinned tweet on November 11th, thanking former 100 Thieves Head Coach Neil "pr0lly" Hammad personally:
"100 Thieves has allowed me to explore my options for 2020. I enjoyed my time there and was happy about the amount of enthusiasm everyone brought to the table despite a rough season - I always felt supported. Also special thanks to pr0lly for having the guts to bring me in!"
A report by Spanish publication Esportmaníacos on Thursday, November 21st states that Jungler Kim "Trick" Gang-yun would be joining SK Gaming ahead of the 2020 LEC season. Trick spent the entirety of 2019 as the starting Jungler for S04, so should Amazing re-sign with his former organization, a starting spot would be available.
However, there's also a chance that the tweeted photo by Don Arts is merely banter. After S04 officially parted ways with AD Carry Elias "Upset" Lipp, the German sharpshooter started a trend of tweeting about the Los Angeles weather, implying a transfer to NA.
Upset ended up staying in Europe with Origen, as did others who jumped on the banter train like former Fnatic Head Coach Joey "YoungBuck" Steltenpool, who ended up signing with LEC organization Excel Esports.
There is a possibility that Don Arts himself has been signed as the new Jungler for Schalke 04. It wouldn't necessarily be out of the question, either: Esportmaníacos also reported that Team Vitality would be re-building its roster around young up-and-coming domestic talent, and according to a report by ESPN Esports' Jacob Wolf, the Misfits rebuild reportedly looks to be of similar design.
Still, for Don Arts, a German player, to tease his new team, a German organization, in a photo with a former German Jungler of FC Schalke 04 with the caption simply being simply 'S04 Jungler' would be the ultimate off-season troll hiding in plain sight.
