LCS and LEC teams are really shaking up the scene this off-season, and Alfonso "Mithy" Aguirre Rodríguez has joined in the fun, switching to a coaching role and joining the super successful Fnatic organization in a report by Jacob Wolf and ESPN. Mithy has been playing for multiple years, starting in the Challenger scene seven years ago.
Mithy made a huge name for himself when on G2 with Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen, where they donned the title, Best in the West, reffering to their bot lane prowess. Since then, the duo moved to TSM in 2017, but failed to make much headway while here. He left after one year, with Zven staying behind, and rejoined his old org, Origen.
He and Origen had a great spring, placing second in both the regular season and in the playoffs, almost making it to MSI. Their summer wasn't as great, finishing 8th and failing to make it to Worlds. Now Mithy is now in a new role on perhaps the most successful European org in professional League of Legends' history.
