Coming into the final day for Group C, this 2019's Group of Death, FNC sat in the third position behind RNG and SKT. With SKT qualifying right out of the gate, FNC and RNG were going to have to fight for the last spot through the rest of their games. 

FNC beat Clutch to start off their run, tying them up with RNG after their loss to SKT. Then FNC beat SKT with RNG beating Clutch. This sent them into the last game of the day tied at 3-2. Winner advances as the sole second seed, no tiebreakers necessary, just winner takes all. 

RNG - Coming from the region that holds the current World Championship, with Jian "Uzi" Zi-Hao holding a 9-1 record over Martin "Rekkles" Larsson, and having never fallen out of the Group Stage at Worlds. 

FNC - Coming from the region who holds the MSI title, was in the Worlds finals themselves last year, and who sits with the home crowd and the "week two buff" that got them out of an 0-3 start a couple years ago.

Two giants, two teams who could contend for the title this year. But only one would make it. 

And after one of the more exciting games of the day, FNC did it. With fantastic Drake control, they collected double mountain early, double infernal later. They had complete priority over Baron, and they never let up the pressure. 

Coming from a 1-2 record in the first Round Robin, FNC defeated all three teams in their qualifying day, and advance along SKT as the Group C second seed.
