It's been a tumultuous couple of weeks for esports organization FaZe Clan. Just two weeks ago one of their biggest streamers, Turner "Tfue" Tenney, filed a lawsuit against the company over unfair contract details. Now it turns out the company lied about another popular employee: Fortnite streamer H1ghsky1 is actually not 13 years old, contradicting what FaZe Clan has said. This means he falls below the age minima YouTube, Twitch and Epic Games have set.

Tfue already had stated in the aforementioned lawsuit that FaZe Clan was cheating with his colleague's age. The lawsuit reads: "It is also widely publicized that Faze Clan has recently signed an eleven year old gamer/artist. Upon information and belief, Faze Clan has not only lied about the minor's age, but has also pressured the minor and his family to do so. Such conduct by Faze CLan was in violation of Labor Code § 1700.36."

In a report by Upcomer, these allegations have been confirmed. In a translated post, the young streamer's mother congratulated him with his fifth birthday in 2012, making it impossible for H1ghsky1 to be 13 years old now.

This could have disastrous consequences for H1ghsky1's career on short term. At the time of writing he sat at over 844 thousand subscribers on YouTube and more than 400 thousand followers on Twitch. However, on YouTube and Twitch the minimum age required to stream is 13. The same age bar is set by Epic Games - only if you're older than 12 you're allowed to compete in official Fortnite events.

FaZe Clan has not yet commented on either H1ghsky1's real age, or the allegations that they pressured him and his family to lie about it.
