On the 21st of March (KST), in the 2019 LCK Spring Split Day 38 match between Griffin and Hanwha Life Esports, Griffin swept Hanwha Life Esports 2-0. Many fans were worried about Griffin who had lost both matches last week; there was no need to worry. Griffin was back to their old ‘Angriffin’ form, ending both games before the 30-minute mark. After the match, Tarzan and Chovy were voted as MVPs and were interviewed.

Below is an interview with Tarzan and Chovy.

Last week, you lost two straight games, but you won today. How do you feel?

Tarzan: We just thought to play our game and forget about the two-game losing streak.

What did you concentrate on improving?

Tarzan: There were a few parts that didn’t go well as a team so we tried to fix that.

Chovy, you’re now tied at 1st in MVP points. How was last week with the losses?

Chovy: I didn’t have any thoughts. (Laughs)

How would you evaluate your performance today?

Chovy: I’m satisfied because we had nearly no mistakes in moving as a team.

(To Tarzan) You played Jarvan IV in Game 1 and had influence in all lanes. Did you predict you’ll be able to do that as soon as you picked him?

Tarzan: No, but I did think we would win.

When did you plan to gank bot at Lv.2?

Tarzan: I planned to do it while I was taking Red.

Can you explain a bit about the top gank?

Tarzan: Kalista seemed to think of using Flash, so I predicted that and just threw my spear there. That moment, I could tell that Kalista had many thoughts. I think that’s why I was able to pick up that kill.

Do you practice predicting the next moment a lot?

Tarzan: Not really. (Laughs) I think it’s just instinct since I’ve played so many games.

(To Chovy) You let the opponent play Lissandra. What’s your thought on Lissandra?

Chovy: [Whether I play her or not], I feel comfortable when there’s a Lissandra in the game. So we often just let the opponent play her. I’m confident because when I can take half and half, I can outplay the opponent later on when we’re both scaled.

Why did you take Aftershock on Ryze instead of Phase Rush?

Chovy: If I take Phase Rush, I die if I’m hit by Lee Sin’s Sonic Wave, but I thought if I took Aftershock, I would be able to survive even if I’m hit by multiple skills.

Can you explain the moment you solo killed Lissandra?

Chovy: I just wanted to stop her from recalling, but I saw that I could kill her so I did.

Your next match is against DAMWON Gaming. It’s an important match for you to secure 1st place. How will you prepare?

Tarzan: If our performance is perfect, we can win. I’ll do my best preparing to do so.

Chovy: I have the same thought. I’ll concentrate so that we can deliver perfect performance.
