Square Enix has announced that new accounts created from 10/1/18 to 11/6/18 7:00 AM (PT) are eligible for their new "Welcome Aboard Campaign" rewards.  

New players have previously received a starter package of bonus items, but users on /r/SOAnamnesis have noted that the Welcome Aboard Campaign includes additional Limit Break items, which are currently rare and needed to maximize your characters.

For old-school fans of the Star Ocean franchise, now is the time to play as Dias and Rena from Star Ocean 2 are available to pull for the week.

Those familiar with Star Ocean's battle system will feel at home with its real-time RPG battle elements.  But for those who are completely new, the official Star Ocean: Anamesis Twitter account has provided a comical explanation on how to get started with combat.

Star Ocean: Anamnesis is available for on iOS and Android for US/Global.  Square Enix has announced it will be available to additional countries soon.
