Hello, Masters.
A lot of you participated in the Predict the Winner Event that started last week and today is the day that we announce the lucky winners. Which team do you think won the battle? Let us check out the below video for the result!
And the winner was Team B!
We are glad that a lot of the Masters got the right answer. More than 70% of the participants guessed the answer correctly.
Team A and Team B aim for different strategies. Team A is the basic 1 tank, 1 healer, and 3 DPS composition where the DPS heroes eliminate the enemies one by one while the tank and the healer protect them. DPS heroes that can deal burst damage to a single enemy (Taejo, Jumong, or William Tell) are the main heroes of this composition. This team comp can give the team an upper hand during early battle.
In contrast, Team B aims to pull the enemies together and sweeps them away all at once. The team cannot deal burst damage to one target, but will deal massive AoE damage continuously. In order for this comp to work, there must be either Maid Victoria or Hong Gil-dong, a hero that can pull the enemies to a small area. Hartmann is the main DPS, and the off DPS are Dr. Jekyll or Tesla. Lastly, Cassandra is necessary for refreshing the cooldown on ultimate skills.
In the battle between Team A and Team B, Team B was the winner. In the beginning of the battle it seemed like Team A had the advantage, when Taejo and Jumong’s powerful damage quickly eliminated Hong Gil-dong, Victoria, and Cassandra. However, when Hartmann and Dr. Jekyll used their skills when the Team A heroes were grouped together, the battle turned around.
As mentioned above, the key strategy of Team B is to pull enemies with Victoria and Hong Gil-dong, deal AoE damage with Hartmann, Jekyll, or Tesla, and to decrease skill cooldowns with Cassandra.
In the actual battle, Hong Gil-dong and Victoria ended up dying, but the enemy heroes were already pulled together so the stage was set for Hartmann and Jekyll to deal their AoE damage. Also, the fact that Hong Gil-dong died first means that Team A did not kill the main DPSs of Team B first.
Team A’s heroes were instantly eliminated by Hartmann’s ultimate and Jekyll’s AoE damage. Jekyll’s ultimate was on when Alexander used his ultimate, so Team B was not affected by the airborne effect and Team A could not stop Jekyll from dealing massive damage.
Of course the battle is not always so straightforward in the actual League. If Team B cannot pull the enemies in due to an abnormal status resistance Tactic Card, Team A’s damage output will decrease drastically. Team A can easily be countered with the Tactic Cards that decreases the damage of the heroes that have high combat power.
Also, 7-star gear might change the result, since the survivability of all heroes will greatly increase with 7-star gear. Predicting the winner will be a lot more fun with the results being different under different conditions.
You can see the list of the winners of the event below. The winners were selected randomly among those who guessed the correct answer. We will be sending a separate email to the winners asking for your account username and the server you play in to the email address that you used when you joined Inven Global. Please answer the email before August 19th (PDT).
Even if you already left your username and server in the comment, you will still receive the email and you might not receive the rewards or you might receive the wrong rewards if you give us the wrong information in the confirmation email. Please double check before sending us an email!
And now it’s your turn! We have prepared another event where you can share your tips on PvP builds. The link to the new event is found below. (You do not participate in the new event here. Please go to the link below!)
It can be about a PVP build of a specific hero that is especially powerful in PvP, or about PvP team composition. Please share your tips in the Hero&Team Settings Forum.
We will be giving out Bluestones for the new event as well, so please share your valuable tips with others. Thank you!
