New Master & content added along with major update! MXM Patch 1.3 now live!

 

A major update for MXM, patch 1.3, went live on September 13th. This patch includes the new Master, Titus, and new PvE mode, Natium Defense Line, as well as overheat changes for all Masters, balance changes, and a game economy change.


First, Titus, a Support Master, will be added to MXM. Titus is a Master with several AoE skills that can heal and buff allies. This new Master can support allies with his high tanking ability, although he cannot deal much damage.


Titus can boost his allies’ abilities during teamfights, or hinder enemies. His Mending Palm and Purifying Edict skills will instantly heal a friendly target, and Nura’s Grace and Hallowed Ground can affect both allies and enemies within its AoE.


Notably, his ult, Divine Intervention, can revive dead allies within the area, which can turn a game around if used at the right moment.

Natium Defense Line, the new PvE mode, has been added to the server as well. Natium Defense Line is a ranked game content in PvE mode, so players must be over level 35 and have a minimum of 10 Masters. As it is ranked, a new season starts every month, and rankings and rewards are given out based on the scores players get in Natium Defense Line.


The main goal of Natium Defense Line mode is to defend the Natium core from 30 enemy waves. This mode can only be played with Nightmare difficulty, and players must defend the core using all the resources they can get while using different strategies for each unique enemy that comes swarming in.

▲ Playing Masters with AoE or Cc skills is highly recommended in this mode.

 

There is one major change on Master balance that is quite notable; the majority of Masters (exception to Poharan, Taejin, Vonak, and Lorraine) will have overheat removed from their basic attacks, and deal less damage with their weapon attacks. Overheat-related traits have been replaced with new ones for Weapon Upgrades, Nodes, etc.


There has been changes made to the game economy as well. As we were told before, the SOL needed to play the Nightmare difficulty for PvE modes has been changed to 3,000 golds. Also, the amount of free X-Coins that can be gained from missions and quests has been reduced. Not only that, the SOL needed to unlock the Masters has been increased, although Masters that need items from Time Space Distortion to be unlocked, like Poharan and Kromede, have their unlock conditions removed.


Aside from that, the patch includes another Master added to the free rotation, improvement on Master Yuri’s illustration and modeling, and the weekly events for September. Further details on the patch 1.3 can be found in the patch notes below.

MASTER YURI CHANGES
The model of Yuri’s face has been greatly improved on all 3D models.
English VO has been completely re-recorded to match Yuri’s character design concept.

MASTER KROMEDE CHANGES
English VO has been completely re-recorded for Kromede.

SMART CAST CHANGES
Using Smart Cast with master abilities has been improved. 

RANKED TITAN RUINS
Ranked Season 1 for Titan Ruins will begin on 9/15 at 10 AM PST and will be available to play 24/7.
New masters will now be restricted from use in Ranked Titan Ruins after two weeks of the initial release.
Titus will be the first restricted master and will not be playable in Ranked mode until after the maintenance on 9/27.

ACCOUNT LEVEL CHANGES
The cumulative XP table for account leveling has been increased by 60%:
The increase in XP required to level will start at level 15.
There will be a 20% increase in cumulative XP required to reach level 40 (approximately 9 additional Titan Ruins matches).
The XP amount for re-leveling to 99 will increase by 33% (approximately 5 additional Titan Ruins matches).

X-COIN REWARD CHANGES
An overall 54% decrease in free X-Coin rewards was applied to mission and stage record rewards.
The amount of free X-Coin that could be earned by completing PVE records has been reduced by 50% from 14,400 X-Coin to 7,200 X-Coin.
X-Coin rewards for completing the Daily Mission has been replaced with XP (750, 1000, 1250 XP).
A 50% reduction of free X-Coin rewards for Daily/Weekly/Monthly missions has been applied.
The overall amount of free X-Coin rewards that can be earned through missions in a month will be reduced by 66% from 4,200 X-Coin to 1,400 X-Coin.

SOL CHANGES:
The Prices of SOL for all Masters have been changed

MASTER UNLOCK CONDITION CHANGES
All master unlock conditions when unlocking masters with SOL have been removed except for the following PVE Dungeon Masters:

Poharan
Kromede
Rytlock
Kat the Cat
Death Knight
Ghost Widow

All achievements tied to unlocking masters will still be maintained.
The price for selling a Bloody Flail item in the NPC shop has decreased from 250 Gold to 25 Gold.

NIGHTMARE MODE CHANGES
The 1 SOL entry fee for Nightmare Difficulty has been removed. The entry fee to Nightmare is now 3,000 Gold.
The 3 SOL reward slots have been removed from the loot table for Nightmare. The SOL rewards will now be replaced with either a Rare node or a PVE-exclusive Legendary node and 2 SOL Fiber Pieces.

MASTER TRAINING ROOM
The Titan Incarnate transformation has been added to the Master Training Room. Players can now practice using the Titan Incarnate abilities outside of Titan Ruins.

TUTORIAL
The skill level of the AI in the Combat Arena tutorial mission has been lowered for new players.

BRIDGE
Multiple spawn points have been added to prevent crowding and emote spam in the same area upon first initial login to the bridge for new players.

LOADING SCREEN TOOL TIPS
New loading screen tooltips have been added to all game modes
Titan Ruins will now have additional information displayed in the loading screen area to inform new players about different objectives on the map.

SOUND
Players can now mute emote and character sounds using volume sliders in the Sound settings.
Emote sounds from other players’ on the bridge will be automatically muted when you are zoomed in on your Master.

KEYBIND SUPPORT
Keybind support for changing the ‘F’ key for interaction has been added.

HIGHLIGHT REEL
Duration of the highlight reel has been reduced from 15 ~ 20 seconds -> 9 ~ 14 seconds.

SURRENDER VOTE TIME
The voting time to surrender a match has been increased from 10 seconds -> 30 seconds.

COMPLIMENT CARDS
The skip button on the compliment screen has been modified.

TUTORIAL
Level restrictions to complete tutorial missions have now been removed. All tutorial missions can be completed at any level.

DISPATCH TICKET
A retry confirmation window has been added for when a player attempts to retry a PVE stage using a dispatch ticket.
