On October 24, the grand finals of the Flyff Universe World Championship 2026 (FWC 2026), held at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall in Manila, Philippines, were filled with the passion of over 2,000 fans from around the world. Amid the fierce competition for the championship and a variety of on-site events, one main act instantly captured the crowd's attention: KAIA, the talented five-member Filipino girl group that took the stage for a celebratory performance.
Meeting after their performance, KAIA shared their overwhelming excitement about taking the FWC stage for the second time. "We are so grateful and happy to be invited back to FWC," the members said in unison. "It's super exciting to meet gaming fans in person and feel the burning energy of a global tournament on-site."
For KAIA, performing at a gaming event is a fresh spark and a valuable opportunity. It allows them to introduce their music and performances to a new audience of gamers, a crowd they do not typically encounter every day.
The members named the warm welcome from Flyff fans and event staff as their most memorable impression. "When we first stepped on the FWC stage, the audience greeted us with loud cheers and cheered us on continuously throughout the performance," they recalled. "Not only the crowd but also the staff on site treated us so warmly, and we were deeply moved by how open-minded the gaming community was in welcoming our music."
They also revealed a surprise connection to gaming. One member shared her past experience playing Flyff, smiling as she said, "I used to play Flyff with my family, and I still play it enthusiastically today." When asked about the class she played back then, she added, "It was a long time ago, so I don't remember the exact class name, but I vividly remember falling into the game easily and having fun thanks to its cute and charming graphics."
Having set the Manila stage ablaze, KAIA's next destination is Korea. They will make their first visit to Korea to perform as the representative artist for the Philippines at the ROUND Festival, held in Seoul from November 7 to 8. KAIA is scheduled to take the main stage on the first day of the festival, November 7.
The members could not hide their excitement ahead of their first trip to Korea. "It is an honor to represent the Philippines on a stage in Korea," KAIA stated. "Since it's our first visit, we plan to extend our stay to fulfill a packed schedule, including a fan meeting, a busking performance in Hongdae, and filming a music video for our new song."
They also dropped a surprise spoiler for Korean fans, revealing that they will perform a special collaboration stage with a domestic K-pop girl group during their visit. However, they kept the artist's name a secret as a surprise gift for the attending audience. In addition, the members demonstrated their special love for K-pop by naming NewJeans, 2NE1, TWICE, MEOVV, and BABYMONSTER as artists they love.
Wrapping up the interview, KAIA extended a warm greeting to Korean fans.
"We have been preparing hard for a long time, eagerly counting down the days until we can perform in front of the Korean audience. On November 7 at the ROUND Festival and on the streets of Hongdae, we want to meet many of you in person and connect through music. We really hope to see you there!"
