Blizzard Entertainment applied the 12.1.5 content update to World of Warcraft: Midnight (hereinafter Midnight) on October 15, KST. The update adds a new raid, a mega-delve, and outdoor events, while resuming Season 2 Mythic Keystones.
In the returning Mythic Keystones, players can take on Mythic+ challenges and earn rewards by reaching a seasonal rating of 3,600. The mid-season feature Ascendant Venom has also been introduced. By collecting Ascendant Venom through new quests, players can further increase the item level of fully upgraded Season 2 Heroic and Mythic gear by one additional rank.
The new single-boss raid, 'The Unbinding of Kith’ix,' offers Story Mode, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties. The story follows the events of Patch 12.1's 'Curse of Ula’tek'. Following Ula’tek's defeat, the bindings weaken, freeing the C’Thraxxi general Kith’ix, whom the Amani had imprisoned long ago, leaving players to stand against him.
In World of Warcraft's first mega-delve, 'Labyrinth of Kindo’jan,' players explore ancient Amani tombs alongside companion Valeera Sanguinar. Unsealed for the first time in centuries, the site has been overrun by relic-seeking looters and the Witherbark tribe, while the spirits of the tombs defend the interior by striking down intruders. Players can unlock abilities through a dedicated progression system and earn rewards such as Mythic gear.
Outdoors, players can participate in the 'Aqir Invasion' across Eversong Woods and Zul'Aman. For 10 minutes starting at the top of every hour, players complete public events across these locations to trigger a boss battle.
Blizzard Entertainment has also introduced new story elements and quality-of-life improvements through this update.
