The Busan Indie Connect Festival Organizing Committee and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) are accepting applications until 11:59 PM on the 14th for Steam Indie Connect, an event bringing together Valve's HQ Steam team and domestic indie game industry professionals. The event will feature market data sharing, 1-on-1 networking, and interpretation support.
The event will take place offline on the 27th at Ground B Cafe near Gangnam Station in Seoul. A live online stream will also be provided for pre-selected participants. It is designed to allow K-indie developers and small publishers preparing for global expansion to communicate directly with Valve HQ representatives and receive feedback on distribution and marketing.
The Steam Update session will share Steam's global and Korean market performance analysis along with launch guides. The event will also feature a Q&A session addressing pre-submitted and live on-site questions, as well as a Networking & Happy Hour with three members of Valve HQ's Steam team.
Real-time simultaneous interpretation and Korean-translated slides will be provided for all sessions. During the Networking & Happy Hour, a dedicated interpreter will be assigned to each of the three Steam team members. Participating developers and publishers can receive specific 1-on-1 feedback regarding their games' launch strategies, marketing, localization, and operational know-how.
The event is open to industry professionals, including indie game developers and small publishers. Admission is limited to pre-registered attendees whose participation is confirmed, with no on-site registration available. Detailed information about the event and the application process can be found on the official website and social media channels.
