Ahead of its launch, Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, an expansion for Dragon's Dogma 2, has released its main trailer.
Dark Arisen is an expansion title that adds a new story, expanded exploration content, and quality-of-life improvements to the base Dragon's Dogma 2 game. Set in the new region of Norgan, players can experience "Forsaken Dominion," regional story content unraveling secrets surrounding an undying dragon.
In the new region of Norgan, loot obtained through combat and exploration can be brought back to base and appraised to unlock new weapons and skills. 12 special dungeons have been added to the base game area. Players can clear these dungeons to hone their skills or earn rare equipment. The character editor also features new hairstyles and tattoos, allowing for even more unique character customization.
New Official Pawns are also joining. Players can hire Pawns created by various creators around the world as Official Pawns to embark on adventures together. Additional Official Pawns are planned to be added in the future.
Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will be released on October 9 for PC, PS5, XSX|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. On Nintendo Switch 2, it will launch as a bundled title containing both the base game and new content, while on other platforms, it will be distributed as an expansion DLC.
