Kotone Shiomi, the female protagonist of 'Persona 3 Portable', is set to arrive in 'Persona 5: The Phantom X' on September 24.
Atlus announced that a collaboration event between P5X and P3P will run starting September 24 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Persona series. Along with the announcement, a limited-time collaboration opening video was released.
In this collaboration, P3P's female protagonist officially joins P5X under the name "Kotone Shiomi." She will be added through the September 24 update with a brand-new 3D model crafted specifically for P5X. Arranged music from P3P will also be featured during the crossover.
Kotone Shiomi's addition to P5X was first revealed during a Japanese special broadcast in July. At the time, the development team announced the collaboration event with P3P and showcased a teaser video for Kotone Shiomi. They notably revealed that rather than reusing her existing P3P model, a new 3D model was being crafted from scratch to match P5X's body proportions and style.
The newly released opening movie showcases various scenes of the revamped Kotone Shiomi, including moments alongside the protagonist of P5X. Further details regarding the collaboration event will be revealed during the official "Persona X-Stream" broadcast scheduled for September 21.
