On September 9, NEXPACE released its first-half 2026 report detailing the on-chain economy of the MapleStory Universe ecosystem.

According to the report, MapleStory Universe generated approximately 30.98 million NXPC in protocol revenue in the first half of the year. This exceeds the roughly 28.14 million NXPC distributed to players as gameplay rewards during the same period by the blockchain-based MMORPG 'MapleStory N'.
About 95% of the revenue came from core gameplay content involving voluntary player spending, such as item enhancement and synthesis. As of June 30, cumulative protocol revenue for the ecosystem reached 58.22 million NXPC.
NEXPACE conducted two token burns linked to its H1 revenue. It burned approximately 2,876,500 tokens on May 21 and about 3,325,500 tokens on July 16, bringing total cumulative burns since the ecosystem's launch to approximately 11.65 million NXPC.
The burned amounts were calculated based on the quarterly burn policy introduced by NEXPACE in November 2025, with details made available on-chain for anyone to verify.

The MSU Marketplace recorded 2.74 million transactions in the first half of the year, with a total volume of approximately 32.1 million NXPC. Of the roughly 855,500 active wallets created since the ecosystem's launch, 66%—or about 564,700—participated in on-chain content transactions at least once.
In the second half of the year, NEXPACE plans to continue allocating 20% of its quarterly revenue to NXPC burns according to its public burn policy, disclosing details on-chain. The company aims to refine the NXPC economic structure, continue major content updates for 'MapleStory N', and bolster systems protecting its open economy. It also plans to pursue strategies expanding the broader MapleStory Universe ecosystem beyond a single title, sharing updates periodically.
