NC's new title 'Like or Die' was revealed for the first time during Gamescom Opening Night Live (ONL).
Like or Die was previously known as Project Bonfire. Through ONL, various details including its official title were unveiled for the first time.
The game is a team-based survival FPS. Players become streamers on Quaya Stream, a cosmic streaming platform, and compete alongside teammates to be the last squad standing. Players collect resources on the battlefield to grow and can alter the flow of combat by creating structures out of blocks.
Using a Block Gun, players can create cube blocks at desired locations, which can be used as defensive walls to protect their Nexus or as pathways to advance. Through this, players can alter the battlefield at will. The Nexus serves as a respawn base, but once destroyed, players can no longer respawn.
Players can gather resources across the stage to buy more powerful weapons and items to bolster their team's strength. Fitting the streamer setting, airdrops and Lucky Blocks sent by sponsors harbor immense power.
The revealed trailer shows gameplay footage, including combat utilizing blocks and the destruction of the opposing team's Nexus.
NC also simultaneously opened Like or Die's brand website, Steam page, and official YouTube channel. An additional trailer video offering a look at the game's universe was also released. The video explains the game's streamer concept by showing combat being broadcast live in real time.
The release date for Like or Die has not been announced, with detailed information set to be revealed sequentially at a later date.
