Demenos is a Helix Support who can effectively harass the enemy from mid-range in MXM. His basic weapon is a form of electricity that comes out of his fingers as a mid-ranged attack. Demenos’ weapon has a special ability that damages enemies while healing allies at the same time.
Demenos’ skillset is composed of abilities that can halt enemy movement, crowd control skills that prevent them from using their skills, and skills that can support allies. This makes Demenos a character that is geared toward harassing enemies, rather than fighting out on the frontline.
So if you are playing Demenos, you should stay with your teammates. Skill damage is more powerful than Weapon damage, but Weapon attacks can slow down enemies. It is good to use both of the two attacks in combination to deal more damage.
▣ Recommended Master Setting
◆ Recommended Weapon Upgrade
Demenos can effectively harass the enemies if you Slow them beforehand.
◆ Recommended Skill Composition
Both Paralyzing Bolt and Rolling Thunder are Crowd Control Skills that can restrict the enemy's actions.
Shock Therapy and Ball Lightning will assist allies by increasing their survivability. These skills are for supporting allies rather than attacking enemies.
◆ Recommended Nodes
Demenos has more Auxiliary Nodes than other Masters do. Demenos uses more skills than regular attacks, so the Nodes that can increase Skill Power are highly recommended. Skill Cooldown Reduction Nodes are also recommended. If you want to play more aggresively, choose Offensive Nodes like Weapon Damage and Critical Hit Nodes.
◆ Recommended Spell
Through his auto attacks, Demonos can heal allies and also increase their Movement Speeds and Survivability. Titan’s Gaze is a good spell to widen his field of view.
◆ Recommended Traits
Skill Power is the most important Trait for Demenos since he is supposed to harass enemies and support allies with his skills. Upgrade Skill Power first, and then Mobility later to engage in team fights faster.
▣ Know his Skills in order to Paralyze enemies and lead your team to Victory!
The target will receive an electric shock when hit by Paralyzing Bolt. Demenos can send a lightning bolt to a designated spot and paralyze the target. It is not easy to hit the target with the skill since the area of effect is small and it is not a hitscan skill. Connect the skill with your teammates, or slow enemies before hitting them with Paralyzing Bolt.
Rolling Thunder projects a fan-shaped electric field that damages enemies. The targets won’t be able to dodge or use skills for 2 seconds when hit by the skill, making them vulnerable to all attacks. The casting speed is slightly faster than Paralyzing Bolt. Using Rolling Thunder first and then Paralyzing Bolt will work as a good skill combo.
Shock Therapy is a buff skill that can buff up friendly targets. It will increase the target’s Movement speed, HP recovery, and MP recovery for 8 seconds. It will add to the targets’ survivability rather than strengthening their attacks, allowing them to last longer in team fights. The buff will disappear when the target is too far away from Demenos, so make sure you use the skill right after you engage in team fights.
Ball Lightning will create an Orb that moves towards nearby enemies and blocks projectiles. The Orb will block projectiles, and discharge energy every 2 seconds to deal damage. Demenos can start a chain of attacks with this Orb.
The Orb will last for 6 seconds. It will explode after 6 seconds and the explosion will damage enemies nearby. Use the skill in the middle of big team fights to block enemy projectiles and deal some damage at the same time.
Recharge is a Heal over Time skill that will heal the target’s MP while Demenosos is healing the target’s HP. Lightning Rush is an evasion skill that makes Demenos transforms himself into a lightning sphere and move quickly. If Demenos hits an enemy while moving, the enemy will receive an electric shock for 0.5 seconds. Shocking the enemy before using your skills will be a good way to start a combo.
Stasis Storm, Demenos’s Ultimate Skill, is a skill that distorts space and destroys all projectiles. Demenos creates a distorted field that Slows enemies and explodes after 2.5 seconds to deal massive damage. Stunning the enemies before using this skill will be an ideal choice.
▣ Stay with your teammates! How to play Demenos: Advanced Version
It is important for Demenos to stay with his teammates and assist them in dealing more damage. His Weapon damage is not that powerful, so work with your teammates to heal them or Slow enemies so your teammates can start their combos.
If your teammates have a lot of damage-dealing skills, Demenos should restrict the enemies’ actions before the start of a team fight. Paralyzing Bolt or Rolling Thunder would be a good choice in this case.
Like mentioned above, Rolling Thunder does not have a long Casting time so take advantage of that as much as you can. Shocking enemies with Lightning Rush before using other skills is also a good choice.
If Demenos does not have Paralyzing Bolt or Rolling Thunder, support your teammates as much as possible. Let your teammates engage first, and buff them up with Shock Therapy or block enemy attacks with Ball Lightning. Keep them healthy with your auto attacks.
Use Ball Lightning when the enemies are grouped together because the Orb will move towards the enemies. The Orb can start a chain attack while neutralizing enemy projectiles.
Demenos must stay with his allies, so following one friendly target throughout the game is also a good choice. Alternatively, you can level Demenos up quickly by killing neutral monsters with your other Tagged Master. Tag back to Demenos when a team fight happens and join quickly to support your teammates.
His Ultimate Stasis Storm will Slow enemies, starting an effective chain combo. If you Slow your enemies, it will be much easier for you to hit them with Paralyzing Bolt or prevent them from dodging by using Rolling Thunder. Stasis Storm will explode after 2.5 seconds, so if you successfully Slowed the enemies it will deal massive damage to them.
