On the 10th, Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) secured a 2-1 comeback victory against KRX at the KRX Homefront match held at the Hanoi Convention Center in Vietnam. The HLE squad expressed their surprise at the intensity of the fans, noting that the 12k-seat venue was completely sold out, and added that they were leaving with a boost of positive energy.

Below is the full interview with Hanwha Life Esports head coach Yoon Sung-young and the players following today's victory.

Q. How do you feel about playing in Hanoi today?

Head Coach Yoon Sung-young: I’m happy we pulled off a comeback win. This is my first time in Vietnam, and I’m grateful for the overwhelming support.

'Zeus': KRX prepared well and played very strongly, which made it a tough match. Still, I’m glad we won, and I feel like I’m leaving Vietnam with a lot of good energy.

'Kanavi': I’m relieved we won. It’s my first time in Vietnam, and the fans' passion was incredible. It felt like being at Worlds. If there’s another opportunity, I’d love to play here again.

'Zeka': This is my third time in Vietnam, and I always leave with great memories. This was my first official match here, and it was fantastic. I think I’ll be heading home with wonderful memories.

'Gumayusi': It wasn't intentional, but since it went to a full three-game series, I think the fans enjoyed it. I’ve had many fans supporting me since I was in Korea, so I really wanted to meet them. It was a fun time thanks to them.

'Delight': I’m glad we won 2-1. Every time I come to Vietnam, I’m welcomed so warmly that I always leave with more energy and great memories.

Q. (To 'Gumayusi') There were three individual booths just for you, which shows your immense popularity. Also, I’m curious why you appeared wearing a traditional Vietnamese hat.

'Gumayusi': The hat was a gift from a fan at the airport. I liked it, so I decided to wear it. Beyond the booths, I saw so much support on the big screens and elsewhere. Thank you. As for why I’m so popular, I think it’s because of my looks.

Q. (To 'Zeka') You flashed the KRX emote after a team fight with Sylas. What was the reason?

'Zeka': There’s no deep meaning behind it; it’s just an emote I use often because it’s a team I have good memories with from 2022.

Q. (To 'Zeka') You’ve seen the passion of the local fans today. As one of the longest-tenured players on the team, and given that HLE is a large organization, don't you feel it's a shame that the team hasn't hosted a roadshow yet?

'Zeka': Even though they were our opponents, this was the first time our team has played in a roadshow match. I think it would be even more fun if we hosted our own roadshow.

Q. (To 'Kanavi') Traveling by plane is common in the LPL. Did that experience help with today's match?

'Kanavi': The flight itself wasn't an issue. However, I was a bit taken aback to see so many fans on-site for a regular season match; it felt like a major tournament stage. Still, things started going well from the second set.

Q. (To Head Coach Yoon Sung-young) How do you think this experience will help the team?

Head Coach Yoon Sung-young: We weren't able to practice much while traveling, and I think that might have affected our performance in the first set. Regardless, I believe today's experience will be helpful for us moving forward.
