'Heroes of Might and Magic (HOMM): Olden Era,' which launched into early access on April 30, is off to a strong start, receiving excellent reviews immediately following its release.
On May 3, developer Unfrozen announced via the Steam store page that sales of 'Olden Era' had surpassed 500k units. The development team expressed their gratitude, noting their surprise at receiving over 6k reviews and gaining more than 25k Discord server members within just 72 hours, and pledged to continue honoring the legacy of the series.

Concurrent player counts have also surged, peaking at over 60,000, successfully landing the game in the top ranks for both sales and playtime on Steam.
International gamers attribute this success not only to the game's similarity to the third installment—widely considered the best in the series—but also to the exceptional quality of 'Olden Era' itself. In its current early access build, 'Olden Era' features six factions and fully captures the series' signature gameplay, where players vie for continental hegemony using powerful heroes and units.
As of the 4th, 'Olden Era' has achieved a 'Very Positive' rating, with 89% of its over 7k reviews being favorable. While some negative reviews point to issues with the UI, user convenience, and bugs, the game's core framework and systems are already well-regarded, suggesting that ratings are likely to improve further by the time of its official release.
