Solo Leveling: ARISE, New Core System, End-Game Farming Gear with Bonus Stats

The newly added Core system introduces a set of gear obtainable from the Workshop of Brilliant Light. Separate from artifacts, cores offer fixed and random stats for each gear piece and come with additional activation effects that enhance hunters based on combat situations. Equipping more cores significantly boosts combat power, helping to mitigate combat penalties and raise battle class.

Here’s the quick summary:

  • The new Core system allows players to equip up to three cores per character.
  • In the Workshop of Brilliant Light, you can obtain Cores, which are categorized into three slots: Mind, Body, and Spirit. Each slot has two types of cores.
  • Core Stats(Option) grant specific stats, and Core Passive offers designated activation effects.
  • Check the randomly assigned stats and the activation conditions of the Core Passive. Based on this information, equip the most suitable cores to the appropriate characters.
  • Cores can be leveled up and enhanced, allowing you to increase their stats.

Cores have three equipment slots, with two types of cores available for each slot.

  • Three equipment slots: Mind, Body, and Spirit.
  • Each core slot has two types of cores: Ancient Wraith and Nameless Demon.
  • The Ancient Wraith cores automatically activate their passive based on certain conditions. The Nameless Demon cores trigger their effects when ultimate is used.
  • The cores differ not only in activation triggers but also in the specific effects they provide. Thus, it’s important to choose the right core for each character.
  • For example, the Spirit-Wraith Core restores 3% of the Power Gauge after hitting with 3 normal attacks. Meanwhile, the Spirit-Demon Core restores 5% of maximum Mana when using an ultimate ability.

Where can I obtain the Cores?

  • Cores drop from the Workshop of Brilliant Light.
  • In addition to the Demon’s Castle: lower floors where players fought Vulcan, the latest update introduces the Demon’s Castle: upper floors, where players now battle Baran.
  • While you can obtain Cores from both the upper and lower floors of the Workshop of Brilliant Light, Spirit Cores do not drop from the lower floors.
  • Items needed to enhance Legendary Cores also do not drop from the lower floors.

Core Stats provide two types of stats per core. Core Passive offers fixed abilities that vary by the slot and grade of the core.

  • Core Stats offer stats like attack power and critical hit rate, and Core Passive is fixed ability based on the core’s slot and type.
  • Core Stats can offer two stat lines, with the first stat being fixed—similar to how armor pieces have a main stat like defense.
  • Core Passive is predetermined based on the core's slot and type. However, the activation conditions for these effects are randomly assigned.
  • For example, core passive might have activation conditions such as "Activates when Sung Jinwoo equips it" or "Activates when a wind-element Hunter equips it."

To create even stronger cores, you can level up and enhance them.

  • Cores start at level 1 when first obtained, and their Core Stats are assigned randomly (with a large variance compared to artifacts).
  • You can level up cores by using other cores as materials, increasing the random stats each time.
  • The maximum level for all cores, regardless of grade, is 10.
  • Once at max level, you can further enhance stats through Core Enhancement.
  • Core Enhancement requires a special item called Solidified Stone, which drops from the Workshop of Brilliant Light.

Efficient Farming Tips for the Core

  • Cores drop in both Demon’s Castle Upper and Lower floors, with rewards decreasing from Upper-Normal, Lower-Hard, to Upper-Easy.
  • Upper-Normal is the best option, but if under-geared, try Lower-Hard for potential legendary cores.
  • For Spirit Cores, target 80F or Demons’ Castle Spire in normal mode, then retreat.
  • Upper floors are weak to Dark and Wind attributes; recommended setups include Magnifying Slashes and Demonic Plum Flower Sword + Moonshadow.
  • After clearing the 80th floor in the mid floor, you will face a mid-boss battle at the Demons' Castle Spire (Hunter Battle) and then proceed to the final boss at the 100th floor (Sung Jinwoo battle). Notably, there is no Hunter Battle on the 100th floor.
  • Use rare cores freely for leveling material, as epic grade cores will become available with regular farming.
