The LCS NA trophy went to TSM once again on the dawn of April 24 (KST). The team was not satisfied with just holding the record of entering the LCS NA finals 9 times, as they now have the achievement of attaining victory 5 times. What would SKT T1, the team with the best results in the domestic league, think about TSM? We visited the coach Byounghoon “cCarter” Choi of SKT T1 to hear his thoughts.
Both teams have had sweeping victories in the LoL Championships. Even though SKT T1 has proven to be the best a number of times in international stages, the strength and prowess of TSM is certainly still formidable in comparison. SKT will probably see them in the 2017 MSI, so it would serve them well to be cautious.
cCarter described TSM as “the team that deserves the most popularity in the NA region”. He also said, “It is amazing to see them win the LCS NA finals even though some of the members were replaced.”
“We have faced them and had a match in the 2013 LoL World Championship, and from our experience I can say that they are outstanding,” said cCarter in relation to the international stage. “They were pretty good in 2016 as well, but were not at their full strength at the time. They can, however, climb to a higher place at any time.”
cCarter then left a complimentary comment about TSM as a professional game team and their external management. “In the beginning of SKT T1, our role models were Fnatic and TSM, from a management perspective. We learned a lot from them in relation to playing in the domestic and international leagues and in regards to selling products.”
