For many League of Legends esports teams, the off-season is not over. However, all ten LCS teams have already completed their starting rosters, and shortly after, have completed their LCS Academy rosters for the 2022 season as well. Let's take a look at the starting rosters for the ten LCS Academy teams heading into the 2022 season.

While Team Liquid Academy haven't officially announced their full roster, they did announce the signing of Bradley "Bradley" Benneyworth as their new top laner for the 2022 season, and since the rest of the roster is contracted through at least the 2022 season, if not longer, it's assumed that TLA's starting roster is more or less set in stone alongside the nine other announced rosters. Bradley previously competed as the starting mid laner for amateur squad Wildcard Gaming Red.
Teams competing in the LCS Academy league do not participate in the LCS Lock In, but due to unique circumstances, a few exceptions will be made. TSM will start the entirety of TSM Academy in the 2022 LCS Lock In due to visa issues for the Chinese LCS duo of mid laner Zhu "Keaiduo" Xiong and support Wei "Shenyi" Zi-Jie, mimicking Immortals did with IMT Academy for the 2021 LCS Lock In following pre-season visa issues.
Multiple members of Cloud9 are also stuck in South Korea until February with visa issues according to head coach Nick "LS" De Cesare.
Because of this, it's entirely possible that Cloud9 Academy top laner Darshan "Darshan" Upadhyaya, AD carry Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen, and support Jonah "Isles" Rosario will start for C9 in the 2022 LCS Lock In.
