The Korean-based esports org Vision Strikers, best known for their VALORANT team, had its parent company eDreamWork Korea acquired by fellow Korean esports org DRX. Vision Strikers made VALORANT history last year by completing a 102-game lossless streek. The team won 17 regional and international championships last year and qualified for the VCT 2021 Championship representing Korea.

"Global esports company DRX Corp. has announced the official acquisition of eDreamWork Korea, the parent company of Vision Strikers," DRX stated in a press release. "Through this merge, DRX has officially taken the next step in the global esports scene by expanding its competitive teams and platforms. With this acquisition, South Korea's top VALORANT team with an unprecedented 102 consecutive win record, WarCraft 3's living legend, Jaeho 'Moon' Jang, and arguably the world's best Tekken player, Jaemin 'KNEE' Bae, will now compete under the DRX Organization."

According to the press release, the Vision Striker brand is also expected to merge with the DRX brand soon, which means that the VS VALORANT team will soon good by the name DRX in the VCT 2022 tour.

"VS is a relatively new team that was created in 2020," stated DRX CEO Sangin Choi. "However, their performance in VALORANT is unparalleled and shows potential, and they show promise with their legendary players: Moon and KNEE. Sharing the notion of 'enjoying the challenge' we are excited to work together heading forward, and will support our new teams fully to help them perform at the highest level."

Vision Strikers CEO Can Yang also commented on the acquisition, saying, "DRX is a prominent esports organization that has a long and respected history. We are honored to join such an organization and move forward together. To all of our fans who supported the Vision Strikers Brand, I thank you personally wholeheartedly. We will now start another chapter with DRX and earn your support once more."

DRX is a large esports company in Korea, known for their League of Legends team, who qualified to the World Championship in 2020, where they finished in the quarterfinals after losing to the 2020 World Champions DAMWON Gaming. They are now hoping for similarly impressive results in VALORANT, Warcraft 3, and Tekken with their new acquisition.
