2021 LoL World Championship opened with LNG Esports beating Hanwha Life Esports in a back-and-forth game. After the match, LNG jungler Lee "Tarzan" Seung-yong hopped on a post-game interview on the broadcast to discuss meeting his former Griffin teammate Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon.

How does it feel to win the opening game against Hanwha Life Esports?

I feel great for taking an easy win. Our teammates carried me with ease.

You said your teammates carried you, but the Qiyana pick was very interesting. Once Chovy's Tryndamere was locked in, you swapped Qiyana to jungle and picked mid Gragas mid was picked. Was this a prepared counter pick against Tryndamere?

Tryndamere has been picked often for a while already, so we just made a good choice amongst many different champions.

Outside of the game, Tarzan vs. Chovy has been a hot topic. How did it feel to face Chovy?

I just treated him like any other opponent. I did not have any personal feelings.

You said that today's game was an easy win. The early game was smooth, but there were also times when HLE took the lead as Chovy's Tryndamere scaled. At what point did you become convinced that you were going to win?

HLE's champions were all AD picks, so I thought we would win if we bought some time. 20-30 minutes in, I knew we'd win because our draft was much better."

Any last words for your Worlds resolution?

It feels great to win the first game. We will do our best in the remaining games to survive as much as possible.

Do you have any personal goals for Worlds?

I will focus on surviving each game like an ephemera.
