LEC team MAD Lions has accused G2 Esports of tampering and subsequently pushed a vote amongst LEC owners for Riot Games to revise its global rules on tampering and poaching, Jacob Wolf of Dot Esports reported Wednesday. The vote has reportedly passed 8-2, with only G2 and Team Vitality voting "no" on the reevaluation.

The report states that Team Vitality "no" vote on rule reevaluation comes back to the current rule not being enforced properly in the first place, making no sense to amend it now.

According to the report, Riot Games is not investigating any claims of tampering or poaching. “There has been no complaint filed with the LEC, and there is no ongoing investigation against any LEC team on this topic. With regards to the team owners’ meeting: those happen regularly and the topics that are discussed are confidential," a Riot spokesperson commented.

Should the report come true, this would be the third time G2 Esports has been accused of poaching and/or tampering in the LEC, the first two occurring in the offseasons of 2016 (for Zven and Mithy) and 2018 (for Odoamne, Hjarnan, Upset, and Wadid).

Rumors and reports have pointed towards G2 making big roster changes following missing the World Championship for the first time in the organization's six-year history.

The report also states that despite tension between the two organizations, G2 Esports is interested in MAD Lions AD carry Matyáš "Carzzy" Orság, and that MAD has granted a tryout for G2 with Victor “Flakked” Lirola, who is currently the starting AD carry for MAD's SuperLiga team.
