An official trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's Mauer der Totem has dropped. This is a round-based Zombie mode that takes place near the Berlin Wall in 1984. In the video, the Requiem squad is back and fighting off the undead in one of the most chaotic trailers ever.
"The portal has been opened. One that allows a long-dead army to reinfect our world."
The trailer was just a sneak peek of what is to come, showing some interesting new features. The first is a new Wonder Weapon, the CRBR-S, as well as a tactical grenade. The CRBR-S is a fully automatic handgun that fires a lethal energy blast, according to a tweet developers put out earlier in the week.
The trailer also shows a popular perk in action, the Mule Kick. This allows players to hold three games at once instead of just two. In Mauer de Toten, players can also use ziplines. This was featured in the trailer as a getaway option. The zombie fights appear to occur in a variety of interesting locations, including a train station.
But these aren't just any old zombies. It looks like the Kransy Soldat will be a tough enemy that takes more to take down than a regular zombie, similar to Panzersoldat.
While the trailer looks like total zombie-killing mayhem, there appears to be a story unfolding as well. The storyline is still a bit of a mystery to Call of Duty fans, so be on the lookout for more information in the coming week.
