Emma (known online as Emmyuh), girlfriend of VALORANT pro player Jay "sinatraa" Won, spoke out Tuesday about the sexual abuse allegations against sinatraa, made by the player's former girlfriend, Cleoh "cle0h" Hernandez. The "impromptu statement", as she calls it, stands in defense of the player, as Emma states she's "never felt unsafe throughout my relationship with Jay", and that sinatraa has always "put my comfort above anything, always".
"About this second statement: Cleo continues to paint herself as a saint and she has provided, yet again, nothing about how she treated him or myself," Emma writes, referring to the most recent update from Hernandez, published Tuesday. In that statement, Hernandez confirmed that she has filed a police report against sinatraa and there's an open and ongoing case.
"I know she isn’t the person that she’s trying to display to the world, not because of Jay, but because of the Overwatch scene," Emma added.
Sinatraa's case is still under investigation by both Riot Games and the player's VALORANT club, Sentinels. His participation in tournaments has been suspended for the time being. Sinatraa has denied all sexual abuse allegations, saying that while he regrets how his relationship with Hernandez ended, he "never assaulted her in any way".
Emma also expressed hope that the community gets to hear the player's side of the story when he decides to make it public.
"I am still dating Jay. I have heard his side and I have never felt unsafe throughout my relationship with Jay. Jay has always put my comfort above anything, always. I hope that you guys will hear him out when he addresses it all publicly."
The story is developing.
