16-year-old Fortnite player Wrigley got him and his team disqualified from the $3 million Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) after an offensive tweet directed at Epic Games CEO Donald Mustard.

“Like literally fucking k!ll your$elf @DonaldMustard," Wrigley wrote. It wasn't long before FNCS admins contacted his team-mate Dictate to tell him the team was disqualified.

"We are writing to inform you of your team's disqualification and removal from the Chapter 2 Season 5 FNCS competition, effective immediately," citing that Wrigley broke Section 8.1.2. of the FNCS Official Rules, stipulating that all players "must be respectful of other players, Event Administrators, spectators, and sponsors".

As Wrigley's actions affected his entire team, his teammates Dictate and Users both spoke out, appealing to, or calling out, Epic Games to take action.

"I wish we would be able to have an Opportunity for an emergency sub what wrigley did was completely out of our control and we put endless amount of time into the game for a chance at life changing money [sic]," wrote Userz.

Dictate was less courteous.

Wrigley's team was competing in the NA East portion of the FNCS, with a prize pool of $690,000. The winners were crowned Sunday, with the trio of Slackes, Acorn, and jahq taking the $150,000 first-place prize.
