Lee "Clozer" Ju-hyeon has extended his contract with T1 up until 2023, the organization confirmed Friday. The player will share the mid laner with T1's legendary mid Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok as the team prepares for a 2021 season, for which recovery is top priority for the org after missing the 2020 League of Legends World Championship.
Clozer moved to T1's starting roster in July to fill in for the benched Faker. With him in the mid lane, T1 was able to go on a five-game win streak, which kept T1 in the race for the playoffs. In the 14 games he played, Clozer was able to rack up impressive stats, ranking third among mid laners in KDA and fourth in GPM in his only first-ever LCK Split.
With Clozer's contract extension, T1's 2021 roster is almost complete. This week, the team promoted top laner Choi "Zeus" Woo-je from the Academy to the main team, while also re-signing Kim "Canna" Chang-dong, locking their top lane duo. In the bot lane, T1 also signed Ryu "Keria" Min-seok, while also extending rookie Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong's contract to 2022. The only position where there's been no official news is the jungle, with Moon "Cuzz" Woo-chan's and Choi "Ellim" El-lim's contracts still active till 2021.
