Path of Exile has presented another expansion in the form of Harvest. This gives players the opportunity to grow their own monsters, as well as being able to make eye-catching gardens and increase the amount of crafting they can do. Those who opt out of spending their hard-earned PoE currency for real-world money could also indulge in microtransactions, though some such as Sygian Armour, Portals, and Footprints were given away as prizes to celebrate the new event not long ago.

Another competition that was running was giving away a new set of Alienware gaming laptops, which were given out to the first person that was able to beat the Harvest's Heart of the Grove boss, which can be grown in the game. If you are looking to pick up the relevant PoE items to grow the boss, then here is how.

How to grow the Heart of the Grove boss

Growing monsters in Path of Exile doesn't exactly revolve around PoE orbs as some might suspect. You initially need to get seeds from a seed cache then plant the seeds in the Sacred Grove. Once there, you need to put a Collector in the center of the seeds which will harvest the Lifeforce. This will then allow you to upgrade weapons and grow more seeds. You may need to place irrigation lines from the Collector if you want to help grow higher level seeds, so keep that in mind.

If you do want to get higher tier seeds, then you can grow monsters that will drop them. For example, beating a tier 2 monster will drop a tier 3 seed and so on. If you are going to adopt this method though, keep in mind that the higher the tier of monster, the harder they will be for you to beat.

To grow a tier 4 seed, you need to plant it near tier 3 seeds. In total, you need to have eight crops of the same color before you can harvest. Your objective here is to beat a monster from a tier 4 seed. These seeds include the Wild Thornfruit, Vivid Scaelefruit, and the Primal Blisterfruit. Once you have done so you can grow the Heart of the Grove, which is available after 100 maps.

Beating the Heart of the Grove

Now that you know how to harvest the boss, you will have to be on your guard in defeating it. The Heart will attack the player with projectiles, so you need to be quick to avoid this assault. You can differentiate the phases of the boss by color. Your best bet is to attack when she is charging, so be on the defensive until you find the right opportunity.

Her orange phase will see her making a Sacred Suffering, which is a yellow patch placed on the floor.
You need to stop it from spreading, so break down the wall to stop her from dealing damage.
Meanwhile, her purple phase will see her charging and firing Orb of Thorns, so find cover when
necessary. The green phase has the boss equipping a Vine Hammer that she will bash the ground with, so again you want to avoid this charged attack by keeping your distance. The blue phase then sees the Volatile Orchard being charged and sends out snakes that will morph into balls to chase the player.

If you have taken a break from PoE trading and general grinding to complete this harvest boss, then you can take pride in beating the ultimate boss of this latest addition to the popular ARPG title.
