[Official] Uzi announces retirement from competitive play

On the 3rd (KST), the legendary bot laner for Royal Never Give Up, Jian "Uzi" Zi-Hao, announced via Weibo, his retirement from competitive play.

He’s a player with an incredible legacy. Many have credited him as the second best League of Legends player in the world next to Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. While he's been part of a few different LPL teams, he’s spent most of his career under RNG. With two LPL titles under his belt, one MSI trophy, and many successful runs over five different LoL World Championships, he’s created many highlight reels that showcased his prowess throughout his career.

However, he has struggled with health issues throughout his career. He first started contemplating retirement back in 2015, where he was suffering from a shoulder injury.  Due to his poor health, he often went on extended breaks throughout his career, and most recently, was absent throughout the entirety of this past Spring split.

Uzi explained on his Weibo post that because of his type 2 diabetes, his original hand injury, and deteriorating health, that he decided to retire from competitive play, while also thanking his former team, Royal Never Give Up, his fans, family, and friends for their support.
