Gen.G, DragonX, T1, KT Rolster, and DAMWON Gaming have locked their spots in the playoffs of the 2020 LCK Spring split. After Afreeca Freecs failed to take the match victory tonight to keep their playoff hopes alive, DAMWON Gaming locked in their spot in 5th place of the LCK standings and will be heading into the playoffs as a wildcard team.
Afreeca was off to a rough start in Round 2. They went on a six match losing streak, but ended it by defeating Griffin 2-0. In order for Afreeca to have made it into the playoffs, not only did Afreeca have to beat DRX tonight, but also their last opponents of the Spring split, T1, who they’ll be facing on the 15th (KST). However, with tonight’s loss against DRX, their arduous journey in the 2020 LCK Spring will be coming to an end after their match against T1.
The playoffs of the 2020 LCK Spring split will start on Saturday, Apr. 18th (KST) with the Bo3 Wildcard match between DAMWON Gaming and KT Rolster. However, the race to the top of the standings between DRX, T1, and Gen.G has yet to come to an end, so many will be curious to see where their favorite teams will end up in the playoffs.
