For the past few seasons, ASE has become a more casual affair after the long and arduous League of Legends esports season, and the segmented, online nature of ASE 2020 only furthered this trend. However, each region's bracket for the RedBull 1v1 tournament was the most competitive portion of the event, and the fact that it featured four winners did not diminish the excitement.
Riot Games has announced the 2020 All-Star Event to end this year's League of Legends esports season. Due to the casual nature of ASE and the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will take place completely online and feature a new format.
