SKT Head Coach cCarter feels pressure as a representative of LCK in the Rift Rivals.
On July 2nd (KST), SK Telecom T1 defeated MVP 2-0 and continued their winning streak in the 2017 LCK Summer Split and against MVP. SKT's head coach, Byunghoon "cCarter" Choi was interviewed on air by OGN after the match to share his thoughts on the match.
He started the interview with relief that the team won the last match before the Rift Rivals. "I was nervous because most [LCK] teams going to the Rift Rivals lost their last match before the tournament. I'm glad that we've won."
The matchup for the Rift Rivals have already been decided, and cCarter is feeling pressured because the matches will be the repeat of the MSI 2017. "The matchups are against the teams that we've faced in the MSI 2017. I feel more pressure than ever before. We'll be representing LCK, and we have to do our share of work as 'SK Telecom T1'."
However, he vowed that he'll do well in the Rift Rivals for the LCK and the remaining summer split. "We'll be going against strong opponents when we return after the Rift Rivals, and I feel like we have to win the tournament to have more confidence in playing out the rest of the LCK matches. We'll have to do our best and do well in the tournament."
