FlyQuest announced on Friday, November 8th that Support Kim "Wadid" Bae-In would be released from his contract. Wadid joined FlyQuest in the 2019 LCS Summer Split, where he started at the Support position until the conclusion of the team's season in the 2019 LCS Regional Final.

Wadid's contract was acquired from LEC organization Rogue by FlyQuest in May ahead of the 2019 LCS Summer Split. However, VISA issues stopped Wadid from playing with the main squad, and he ended up starting for FlyQuest Academy in the first few weeks of the summer from a remote location. Wadid was finally able to start for the main squad in week 4 of the 2019 LCS Summer Split, but the team was already 1-5 one third through the split.

With Wadid in the starting lineup, FlyQuest went 4-7 and finished in last place with a record of 5-13. FlyQuest looked far more put together in its 2019 LCS Regional Final appearance, but still found itself overwhelmed by a surging Clutch Gaming, who would end FlyQuest's season in a 3-1 victory.

Wadid began his career in Korean challenger before being signed by ROCCAT in the EULCS. Since then, Wadid was a Worlds 2018 Semifinalist with G2 Esports, and spent the first half of the 2019 season with Rogue in the LEC. However, this will be the first time that Wadid has entered free agency in his career.

Wadid took to twitter to announce his free agency and express his thoughts in a following video. Wadid confirmed the split with FlyQuest was amicable, as the two parties simply had different visions for the future, and thanked the FlyQuest staff and team for his experience within the organization.

Wadid, always aware and self-evaluating, did not pull punches on himself, stating that 2019 was a failure, especially when compared to his success in 2018.

Despite this, Wadid went on to say that he learned a lot this season, and that he felt he needed to return to a few things from previous eras of his career: "I want to go back to the mindset I had in ROCCAT. I want to do whatever the team needs to win."
