On the 5st of November (KST), DragonX announced that they’ve signed Kim “cvMax” Dae-ho as their head coach. Amidst all the Griffin controversy he started, cvMax has now found a new home.
CvMax had led Griffin to the LCK finals three consecutive times but fell short of the championship all three times. After reaching Worlds, Griffin decided to part ways with cvMax only weeks before the tournament started. As cvMax became free, many LCK teams reached out.
On his joining DragonX, cvMax said, "I feel big responsibility on my role," and added that "since the team and I pursue the same thing, it feels that I can lead the team without worrying about failure. I'm already looking forward to the next season. I'll live up to the fans' expectations by winning the LoL World Championship." Team DragonX also revealed the team's vision. With the slogan, 'Enjoy challenge', they set the mid-long term goal as 3 consecutive LoL World Championships.
