Everything You Need To Know About WePlay! Dota 2 Reshuffle Madness 2019

In less than one day, WePlay! Reshuffle Madness will kick off with a week straight of intense Dota 2 competition. There is no need for concern of things heating up to a boiling point, however, as WePlay!'s Dota & Chill event theme should keep things cool for the spectators as while premiere teams compete for the lion's share of a $50,000 prize pool.  

The winner of WePlay! Dota 2 Reshuffle Madness 2019 will receive $30,000 and a ticket to WePlay! Tug of War: Mad Moon LAN finals. The silver medalist of the tournament will receive $10,000, with 3rd and 4th place splitting the remaining $10,000 in half.

Tournament Format


Twenty teams will be participating in Reshuffle Madness. Four teams joined the tournament on an invitational basis, skipping straight to the Playoffs. Eight other teams have already been invited directly to the group stage, and the final eight teams have earned their spots in rounding out the competition through Open Qualifiers, which began on September 6th.

The week-long tournament will be split across two stages. The Group Stage will take place starting on September 21st through September 24th. Sixteen participants are divided into four groups, four teams each. They will fight in the GSL format via Double Elimination (with opening matches, meetings of winners and losers, as well as decisive series).

All meetings, except decisive matches, will be held until one victory. The decisive matches — lower bracket's finals — will be played in the best of 3 series (up to two wins).Groups will play scheduled matches for the first two days, and the final two days will feature two matches each to decide which teams move onto Playoffs.  

Playoffs will take place from September 25th to September 28th, and will feature the eight teams hardened by the group stage will join the four teams that received invitations directly to the playoffs. Twelve participants will compete in matches with the Single Elimination grid, best of 3 format.  Each round of playoffs will take place on each of the four days, beginning with Round 1 on the 25th and culminating in a best of 5 Grand Finals on the 28th.

Of the teams who have been invited straight to the Playoffs, only J.Storm has been announced to the public. J.Storm will be competing with a different roster, and its roster along with the rosters of these other teams have yet to be made available to the public at the time of this article being published.

Update 9/23:  Natus Vincere has been announced by WePlay! as another team who recieved an invitation straight to Playoffs.

Event Theme


Every WePlay! tournament is an esportainment show that mashes competition with alluring content plugs. For each event, the company chooses a theme defining the studio decorations, props, costumes, music, and other aspects of the spectacle. WePlay! Reshuffle Madness 2019 theme is resort vacation, inviting everyone to experience another week of hot summer.
