Comic Con Seoul, the world-renowned pop culture event of comics, movies, games and characters, will launch at COEX in Samsung-dong Seoul from August 4 to 6, 2017. “Comic Con,” the abbreviation of Comic Convention, is a huge festival that presents the best of popular culture including comics, movies, video games, cosplay, anime, manga,  toys and more.
 
The first launch in Korea by ReedPOP, the world’s the largest producer of pop culture events, Comic Con Seoul will unveil the unique content based on the biggest and best Comic Con in the U.S., New York Comic Con. ReedPOP produces Comic Cons globally, including Comic Con Paris, Beijing Comic Convention, OZ Comic Con and many more.
 
Comic Con Seoul will be a celebration for fans who love all aspects of popular culture, including movies, games, comic books, video games, animation and exclusive merchandise. Attendees will have an exclusive opportunity to hear behind-the-scenes production stories from Hollywood stars and directors, and see sneak peeks at popular movies and television series.

Comic Cons presented by ReedPOP have hosted a diverse list of famous actors such as George Clooney, Chris Evans, Sigourney Weaver, and the cast of The Walking Dead. Fans have also been treated to premieres of trailers for The Walking Dead, Marvel’s Iron Fist, War for the Planet of the Apes, and Resident Evil “The Final Chapter” at different ReedPOP shows, and there are many more surprises to come in the future.

 
The upcoming Comic Con Seoul will also offer exciting programs, including the Korea Championships of Cosplay, celebrity meet and greet events, plus content on comics, games, movies, and characters. Especially, during the planned celebrity meet and greet event, open Q&A sessions, and planned autograph and photograph sessions. .
 
Recognized as the iconic event of Comic Con, the Korea Championships of Cosplay will feature cosplayers competing as characters from comics, movies and games.  The winner of the Korean Championships will be sent by Comic Con Seoul to represent Korea in the Crown Championships of Cosplay at ReedPOP’s Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) in April 2018.

The Comic Con Seoul Artist Alley will be a place to interact with creative writers, illustrators, and art toy designers. Also planned are artwork exhibitions featuring the work of famous Korean creative artists.
 
Attendees at Comic Con Seoul can get fully engaged enjoying in-depth panel sessions including demo sessions by face painting artists, classroom sessions, and behind-the-scenes panels featuring rare looks into film and popular game production.
