Gen.G Esports will now have two junglers in their ranks. On the 19th, through Twitter, Gen.G announced that they have signed SeongHwan to be their second jungler on the team.
SeongHwan, who began his career in January 2016, played in the LCK for a number of years alongside ROX Tigers and Hanwha Life Esports before joining TCL's Beşiktaş Esports in 2019. Now, he's returned to the LCK as Gen.G's jungler.
Aside from the top lane, Gen.G lacked subs in every other lane. With a new jungler, Gen.G Esports will be able to execute more diverse strategies on stage.
"I wanted to return to the LCK, and I'm honored that I was able to join such a great team. I'll make sure to perform well in the Summer Split," SeongHwan said.
Regarding the new jungler, Gen.G Esports' general manager, Lee Ji-hoon commented, "Through this pickup, we'll compete in good faith; the organization will fully support the players so that they can perform at the highest level. In addition, we'll continue to sign new talented players to the roster and consistently raise the team's overall level of competition. We'll make sure to meet our fans' expectations."
