Monster Hunter: World’s 1-year commemoration festival takes place starting January 25 (UTC-8).
The event, which will run from 16:00 on January 25 to 15:59 on February 21, will commence simultaneously on all platforms including console and PC.
During this period, all event quests and collaboration quests are reset on each platform along with the quest called A Visitor from Eorzea on PC on January 17, allowing players to slay Behemoth (Extreme). On console, the Witcher collaboration event begins on February 8 (UTC).
In addition, two special quests will be added to the game to commemorate the 1-year service. Players are to slay a 9-star Great Jagras, the most hunted monster, and a 9-star Lavasioth, the least hunted monster. Players can receive a Great Jagras hunting quest from January 25 to February 7, followed by a Lavasioth hunting quest from February 8 to February 21.
Monster Hunter: World, released on January 25, 2018, has become one of the most popular games by achieving sales of more than 10 million copies worldwide. The game also received many GOTY awards from game media outlets, proving its outstanding quality.
Capcom, starting with the Witcher collaboration and this event, is planning to release the first major DLC called ICEBORN in Autumn 2019.
